The Weeknd, el más nominado en los premios Billboard 2021

Luego de su controversial presentación a inicios de año en el Medio Tiempo del Super Bowl y de haber pasado desapercibido en los premios Grammys, The Weeknd logró convertirse en el artista más nominado en la próxima entrega de los premios Billboard que se celebrará el próximo 23 de mayo.

El intérprete de “Blinding Lights”, canción #1 del año pasado, se encuentra compitiendo en las categorías de Mejor Artista, Mejor Artista Masculino, Mejor Artista de Hot 100 y Mejor Artista de Canciones en Streaming, entre otras.

Su más reciente álbum del 2020 “After Hours”, recibió múltiples nominaciones, incluido el Mejor Álbum de Billboard 200 y el Mejor Álbum de R&B, mientras que su sencillo “Blinding Lights” es finalista en cinco categorías.

Entre algunos artistas latinos que se encuentran nominados en estas premiaciones destacan por mejor artista femenina Becky G, Karol G y Rosalía y Anuel AA, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Maluma y Ozuma por el premio al Mejor Artista Latino del Año.
