La noche del 24 de noviembre los American Music Awards se llevaron a cabo en el Teatro Nokia de Los Ángeles para reconocer a lo mejor de la música de este año. Y fueron precisamente Taylor Swift y Rihanna quienes se llevaron las máximas preseas de la noche: arrasando Taylor como “Artista del Año” y Rihanna coronándose con el reconocimiento de “Ícono” el cual recibió emotivamente de manos de su madre.
