Los fans entraron en pánico al pensar que el caso estaba completamente abierto, pero las autoridades aclararon vía Twitter lo que está pasando:

“A pesar de las noticias erróneas, no hemos ‘vuelto a abrir’ la investigación sobre el suicidio de Kurt Cobain”, tuiteó la policía de Seattle desde su cuenta oficial.

Explicaron también que había actividad relacionada con el caso pero que hay muchos rumores que no son ciertos: “Nuestro detective revisó el expediente para corroborar algunas preguntas. El caso fue solo consultado”.

Entonces, ¿qué fue lo que inicialmente provocó que todos pensaran que volvían a investigar?

Bueno, el detective Renee Witt reveló que cuatro rollos de película de 35 mm tomada en la escena de la muerte del cantante se utilizaron el mes pasado. Esta evidencia no reveló nada nuevo, así que el caso se quedará como está.

Kurt Cobain fue encontrado muerto en su casa el 8 de abril 1994, con una herida de bala en la cabeza. Su muerte fue un suicidio y, de acuerdo con el informe del forense, Cobain también se había inyectado una dosis letal de heroína.
