Kendrick Lamar hace historia en los premios Pulitzer
El rapero Kendrick Lamar hizo historia al recibir por primera vez en 75 años un premio Pulitzer, galardón que solo había estado destinado a música “culta”, como el jazz y la música clásica.
Este reconocimiento se lo llevó por su álbum DAMN, porque “captura la complejidad de la vida afroestadounidense moderna”, explicaron los organizadores.
Los Pulitzer son conocidos por ser los premios mas importantes del periodismo estadounidense, pero también reconoce trabajos que destacan en la literatura, poesía y música.
Es por eso que Lamar ha hecho historia al convertirse en el primer músico no clásico ni jazzista en conseguir llevarse el galardón.
Kendrick Lamar también se ha llevado 5 Grammys por su álbum DAMN, el cuál se convirtió en disco de platino en USA tan solo un mes después de su lanzamiento.
