Demandan a Ed Sheeran por supuesto plagio con ‘Shape Of You’
Luego de tres años de haber publicado su último material discográfico “Divide”, Ed Sheeran ha llegado con su esperado proyecto ’No.6 Collaborations Projects’, álbum del cual se desprenden colaboraciones con Cardi B, Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Camila Cabello, Eminem, Bruno Mars, 50 Cent, Skrillex, Paulo Londra, entre otros.
El lanzamiento de este álbum, ha sido muy bien recibido por sus fans, quienes no han dejado de manifestar su felicidad por este nuevo proyecto, que promete convertirse en uno de los mejores discos en este 2019.
En varias ocasiones, Ed Sheeran ha sido acusado por supuestamente haber plagiado varios temas de otros artistas. Ahora, el cantante enfrenta una nueva demanda legal. Ante el tribunal Superior de Estados Unidos se presentó una nueva demanda por supuestamente haber plagiado el tema “Shape of You”.
La acusación fue hecha por el músico Sam Chokri, mejor conocido como Sami Swich, quien demandó al cantante por supuestamente haber plagiado el tema “Oh Why”, y utilizarlo para el coro del tema “Shape of You”, tema que fue uno de los más escuchados en 2017.
Por el momento, las regalías de la canción “Shape Of You” se encuentran suspendidas hasta que se dicte una resolución judicial. Sin embargo, el cantante ya lanzó una contrademanda para reclamar sus ganancias, y alegó que Chokri bloqueó su flujo de ingresos y dañó su reputación.
